Utilization Review/Discharge Coordinator - Nursing
This position works under the direction of Director of Nursing. This position will Acts as the hospital liaison with Medicare PRO, commercial payers, and other external review agencies. Reviews the utilization of hospital resources against established criteria documentation requirements of external agencies. Monitors and evaluates the medical necessity, appropriateness, and efficient use of health care services. Provides reports and recommendations to medical and hospital staff for improved utilization of resources and to maximize reimbursement while maintaining quality care.
Must be a Registered nurse licensed in State of Oklahoma. (or a degree in social work or closely related field with one year experience in a related health care setting)
Minimum of one year medical/surgical nursing experience or an equivalent.
This position full time 8:00am-5:00pm Monday-Friday
