Phlebotomist
FULL TIME
Day Shift: 7:00am to 7:30pm Rotating days and every other weekend.Under the supervision of the Laboratory Manager, performs collection of blood/body fluids from Inpatients, Outpatients, and ER patients. The position reports to the Laboratory Manager. The Phlebotomist also maintains cooperative working relationships with intradepartmental and interdepartmental personnel.
Essential Functions:
1. Performs routine CLIA waived tests.
2. Performs quality control tests within a designated area.
3. Performs preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.
4. Provides in-service training to other laboratory personnel and students within a designated area.
5. Performs clerical functions associated with the designated laboratory area.
6. Contributes to the general laboratory functions and institutional needs.
7. Performs other related duties.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Certified Phlebotmist
Experience: One-year experience in phlebotomy preferred including neonatal and pediatric collections.
Computer Skills: Must have basic computer skills.
