FINANCIAL COUNSELOR/COLLECTION CLERK
Full-Time Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm. The Financial Counseler/Collection Clerk is responsible for accurate, complete, and timely resolution of self-pay accounts and the patient pay portion of third party accounts for medical services rendered outpatients or inpatients treated at MHTCA. Individuals will conduct themselves in a manner that will project both professionalism and caring to all people. Job duties will be performed to assist not only the patient but personnel in other hospital departments and physicians and their office staff members. Duties include verification of insurance, and collections of deductibles and co-payments from patients or guarantors.
Education: High School Diploma/GED required, Bilingual preferred.
Experience: One to two years previous collection experience preferred.
