Admissions Clerk Full Time - Business Office
Full time 10:00am to 7:00pm
The admissions clerk is responsible for welcoming patient(s) and visitors as they arrive and include dealing directly with patient and the public either by telephone, electronically or face to face. Admissions clerks rotate covering the front desk outpatient area while responding promptly to patient inquiries and direct all requests and unresolved patient/customer complaints/issues to the appropriate personnel. Obtain and evaluate all relevant information to handle inquiries and complaints. Record details of inquiries, comments and complaints and if necessary record details of action taken and turn documentation into the appropriate personnel. Other duties include processing inpatient and outpatient pre-admissions registration and work closely with the physician staff. The Admissions Clerk will be responsible for the performance of various duties that are intended to result in proper payments to the hospital for services provide to patients.

Education: High School diploma or equivalent

Experience: 1-2 years experience in a hospital or physician's office setting preferred. Bilingual preferred but not required.

VARIED SHIFT: Monday-Friday with an occasional weekend
