Respiratory Therapy (Cardiopulmonary)

Registered and Certified Respiratory Therapists staff the Respiratory Therapy Department. A wide spectrum of services are available including: administration of oxygen, breathing treatments, EKGs, EEGs, PFTs, Holter Monitoring, and humidity and aerosol therapy. This department supervises and performs more complex respiratory therapy procedures that include: arterial blood gas puncture and analysis, and monitoring and adjusting respirators used for assisted and controlled continuous artificial ventilation. Services are performed for both outpatients and inpatients 24 hours a day.
