Nationwide Observance of National Rural Health Day on November 16

Thank you Texas County, OK!

On behalf of everyone at Memorial Hospital in Texas County, Oklahoma, thank you for voting to pass the August 8, 2023, sales tax renewal. “Your overwhelming support and trust will greatly assist Memorial Hospital and other Texas County health & safety providers like EMS, Fire Department and Sheriff Department to continue providing the high-quality services our community deserves,” said Memorial Hospital Board Chairman, Jack Strain.

Memorial Hospital is grateful the community sees the value of local access to quality health care services. During the last 12-months the hospital has provided over 7,400 diagnostic outpatient and clinic visits, 4,300 emergency room visits, and 1,000 days of inpatient medical care. Memorial Hospital also employs over one hundred individuals who live and work in the local and regional communities.

Memorial Hospital is grateful the community sees the value and benefit of local access to quality health care services. We are proud to serve Texas County and the surrounding region!

Mary Ruiz, APRN, FNP-C

Mary is a native of the panhandle, being raised and rearing her family in Texas County. She has over 27 years of experience as a healthcare provider and obtained her initial nursing degree from Seward County Community College (SCCC), her bachelor’s degree from Oklahoma Panhandle State University (OPSU), and her master’s degree, as well as her post-graduate advanced practice certificate from West Texas A&M University (WTAMU).

Mary’s clinical interests include all aspects of Family Practice from pediatric well-child visits to elder care and everything in between. She is currently a member of organizations such as the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), the American Nurses Association (ANA), and the National League of Nurses (NLN).

Mary will see patients in Guymon at the High Plains Clinic of Guymon located at 1753 N. Roosevelt. Appointments for Guymon can be scheduled at (580) 338-7792.
