Memorial Hospital is grateful the community sees the value of local access to quality health care services. During the last 12-months the hospital has provided over 7,400 diagnostic outpatient and clinic visits, 4,300 emergency room visits, and 1,000 days of inpatient medical care. Memorial Hospital also employs over one hundred individuals who live and work in the local and regional communities.

Memorial Hospital of Texas County Authority (MHTCA) will once again be providing medical services in Hooker, Oklahoma. High Plains Clinic of Hooker is located at 706 W. Panhandle on the corners of Panhandle Street and Medical Drive.
MHTCA is pleased to announce that Mary Ruiz, APRN, FNP-C will begin seeing patients in Hooker on July 6th, 2023. Mary is a native of the panhandle, being raised and rearing her family in Texas County. She has over 27 years of experience as a healthcare provider and obtained her initial nursing degree from Seward County Community College (SCCC), her bachelor’s degree from Oklahoma Panhandle State University (OPSU), and her master’s degree, as well as her post-graduate advanced practice certificate from West Texas A&M University (WTAMU).
Mary’s clinical interests include all aspects of Family Practice from pediatric well-child visits to elder care and everything in between. She is currently a member of organizations such as the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), the American Nurses Association (ANA), and the National League of Nurses (NLN).

Dr. Emmett Mosley, Orthopedic Surgeon, added to Surgical Team.
Memorial Hospital of Texas County (MHTC), located in Guymon, Oklahoma is excited to announce the addition of Dr. Emmett Mosley, Orthopedic Surgeon, to its surgical team. Dr. Mosley began seeing patients in the High Plains Orthopedic Clinic on February 27, 2023.
Dr. Mosley will be providing orthopedic clinic and surgical care in Guymon, Oklahoma as he partners with Memorial Hospital to further establish orthopedic services while recruitment for a permanent Orthopedic Surgeon continues. "After an extended search for an Orthopedic Surgeon, the Board and I feel we have partnered with an excellent surgeon that brings the expertise we need to further develop an orthopedic program that will excel in quality and positive outcomes for the communities we serve," stated William Ermann, MHTC CEO.
Born in Tennessee and raised in the Clarksville community, Dr. Mosley completed his Medical Education, General Surgery Internship, and Orthopedic Surgery Residence at the University of Kentucky, College of Medicine in Lexington, Kentucky. Dr. Mosley has actively practiced medicine as an Orthopedic Surgeon since 1993, with eleven years while serving in the US Army, with multiple deployments to Afghanistan and Iran.
Dr. Mosley is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and is proficient in all orthopedic procedures, including but not limited to, hands, joint replacements, sports injuries, as well as orthopedic trauma including both breaks and fractures. His wide range of skills in the clinic and in the operating room will be an asset to Texas County and the surrounding communities of the Oklahoma Panhandle Region.
