Home Care

MHTC HOME CARE was established in 1994 to provide professional health care in the comfort of your home.  Registered Nurses plan, coordinate, and deliver a personal comprehensive health program.  Along with Licensed Practical Nurses, and Certified Home Health aides, nursing care is carried out under your physician’s direction. Home Care provides IV therapy, injections, education, supervision of oral medications, blood pressure checks, wound care, dressing changes, catheter care, post surgical care, Obstetrical observation, newborn follow up, patient/family education, and personal care.  Physical Therapy is also offered in your home by a licensed physical therapist.

Hospice

MHTC HOSPICE was established in 2000.  Hospice is a special way of caring for people with a terminal illness.  It is available regardless of disease or age.  Hospice is special because it concentrates on care, and not the cure.  It emphasizes pain control, living life fully, caring for your loved one at home, and treating patients and family together.  A team is provided to help meet all the needs of the terminally ill person.  The hospice team consists of specially trained personnel who help patients to be as comfortable as possible.  They consist of Physicians, Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Home Health Aides, Social Workers, Therapists, and Volunteers that follow the direction of the patient’s physician.
